The Colonia of Elgin is home to Arizona’s first Winery, Distillery, and Brewery facility. The Elgin Winery has been producing wines from Arizona grapes since the post-prohibition resurgence in winemaking in the Sonoran desert. The Elgin Distillery was the first licensed Craft Distillery in Arizona and is the most and highest awarded distillery in the west. The Elgin Brewery which was originally founded in 1999 has again placed its license on hiatus until a new set of legislative challenges can be fixed.
